Battered. Abused. on drugs, or just need someone to talk to--Where do you go?

The following is just a start for those places that are hard to find if you find yourself in trouble. As time goes on we will be making extensive additions to this list. In the meantime we are inviting those coming across this page who knows of similar resources in any state to please e-mail us (see below) the addresses, phone numbers, and description of the resource they feel belongs on these pages. We are listing these resources into three categories: 1. Places an abused or battered woman can go which can help her deal with an abusive relationship. 2. Centers where a person addicted to drugs can go for treatment. 3. Internet sites and/or discussion forums where one can find a variety of articles, forums, and other resources that deal with abuse issues, psychological problems, and drugs and alcohol addiction.

Help for Lost Angels: This site is owned and maintained by Sher who is a good friend of ours and long standing member of the Lost Angels group. Here you will find some of Sher's philosophy on abuse in its many forms, a little about religion and by this we don't mean the kind you have rammed down your throat in church, hot lines, and many links to books on the subject and many more great sources of information. She will also be conducting her own recovery chats in the Lost Angels forum beginning Wed evening Feb 17th, 1999. During these chats Sher will be discussing many issues including alcohol and drug addiction, abuse, split personality and a whole lot more.
