Observations on differences between Thai and American Women
by Jack Corbett

"Thai women are very feminine because they are content with being women whereas American women want to be men."

Marty, American expatriate now living in Thailand with Thai wife

"What's good about Thai women.  Do you have to ask that.  It's because they empower your manhood."

Joe, head of the Man Tour

"It used to be that American women took care of and nurtured their husbands, but that was before women's lib.  I am of the opinion that the reason why there are so many homosexuals among today's young men is because they have had overbearing mothers who have absolutely emasculated them."

woman who is a friend of mine now in her eighties

"American women are pigs"

Peter, an American expatriate who recently moved to Pattaya

"American women don't know how to make a man feel like a man, and furthermore they don't care."

General Patton (my nickname for 83 year old friend of mine on the Mantour last March

Actually, Jack, you asked my opinion, so I'm going to give it to you, short and sweet.  I don't think there is any doubt that you are in late stages of extreme sexual addiction, the kind that will kill you.  I believe that your move to Thailand is all about the pursuit of your addiction, and it very possibly could be a very dangerous move.  I don't think your motive is to move to Thailand to pursue their culture but rather to advance your addiction and to find cheaper ways to fulfill it.    Addictions have a way of completely taking over a person's life, wiping out all other worthwhile pursuits and serenity.    There is help available if you ever wanted it.  Ask me or Dave if you ever want to pursue a different way of living, and we can point you in the right direction.  Right now, I see you as hell-bent to the death to pursue your life-style.  Have you thought about the prevalence of AIDS in Thailand?  Or a back-alley stabbing to rob you of the few dollars you have in your pocket or your camera?  Is a life of nothing but booze and sex what you really have wanted?  I know your head tells you "Yes, it is", but that's the addiction(s) talking.  Addictive thinking fuels addictive behavior, and that is why most people never get to the other side of addictions.  Most people die in their addictions.  It takes professional help and/or programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Sex Anonymous (SA) to get the head straight.  And that is what I really think about your moving to Thailand.  It scares the hell out of me, because I don't want to lose you.

Woman I have known extremely well over the years

And my reply to her

"Actually I thought about that one.  My reasoning went as follows...If my dick were cut off tomorrow or if in some way I was rendered sexually dysfunctional, would I still want to go there?  And I replied yes to my own question.  I was very serious with myself when I did it.

So, taking this one step further, if I were to seek help whatever group or psychiatrist I went to would most likely be operating from the standpoint that I had an addiction and from this assumption he would outline his treatment or the group would array itself around the perceived "problem".  Since this assumption is invalid and I proved it by my own reasoning I have to assume that my decision making is decidedly superior to that of most psychiatrists or groups that were called in to intervene.  I can only then assume that in the case of the psychiatrist that he has more to gain from me than I from him.  Therefore I am the one who should be charging for this, and perhaps I have been in the wrong profession for all of these years.
